A Page Not Found, also known as a 404 page, loads whenever a visitor of your website navigates to a non-existent area of the website. Having a Page Not Found gives these visitors information that they can use in order to navigate your website properly.
You can see our Page Not Found by going to a non-existent area of our website. An example of this can be seen by going out to
https://www.sitebeyondco.com/page-not-found which leads to an area of the website that is not set up. As you can see it gives the visitors of our website information about how they can use the Page Search and/or Navigation items within the header in order to navigate our website properly.
Having a Page Not Found gives your website a nice clean feel when the visitors of your website ever get to an area of the website that was not set up. If a Page Not Found is not set up and these visitors navigate to a non-existent area of the website then they might think that your website is broken and it might cause them to leave your website instead of further investigating it and thus missing out on a chance to learn what your business can offer them.
